I met local photographer Kimberly Smoot at a photo shoot for The Hope Institute in 2007. I was very impressed with her professionalism and how well she worked with the students; she was the obvious first choice of photographer for this album. When I approached her, she immediately agreed not only to take on the project, but to do it for free. Jake, my wonderful student-turned-model and I spent a Saturday morning last fall at Kimberly's studio, and the results were these beautiful photos you see here.
